As Kin DAO moves in biomimicry of mycelium networks, we titled our first NFT Exhibition Hyphae; the branching filaments that make up the mycelium of a fungus. In October 2021 we initiated the webbing of our mycelium network by hosting our first real-life NFT Art Exhibition in San Francisco, CA.
Hosted in a former bank building, Hyphae is an experiential exploration of the ways we make - and break - systems of valuation, and the value systems behind them. The virtual version of this show is intended to share our linage story, honor all those who have participated, and wrap up this emerging stage of mycelium network building as we transition from dark to light on this Winter Solstice. Our intention is to use digital tools to bring equitable systems to the real world through NFT art, collective land purchase, and regenerative practices.
